About

Welcome to Andréas Saudemont.com, the second pillar of my gigantic media empire started in 2004 with Urban Zebra, my photoblog.

Me, Myself, I

Andréas, with a pronounced ‘s’ at the end, is my first name, and Saudemont is my family name, as pronounced. You can simply call me Andréas, as long as you don’t forget the ending ‘s’ everything should be fine.

I became seriously interested in photography in 2004 after creating Urban Zebra, my photoblog where I post photos of more or less urban style, and even portraits sometimes. I’m an hobbyist photographer enthusiastic for digital cameras that serve my avaricious side: after a limited but useful Pentax compact camera with which I got a few photos that I’m proud of, I’m now using a Canon reflex body that, on one hand, feeds my lust for expensive new lenses and, on the other hand, allows me to get a few photos that I’m proud of (again).

(In case you haven’t found out yet despite the grammatical mistakes and conjugation errors that clutter all the site, I’m no native English speaker nor writer. I might be French, though this point is still being debated.)

Miscellaneous

Thanks to Anne-Laure for the proofreading and for the wise advices. The site owes much to Khoi Vinh of Subtraction and his Grid Computing… and Design post. And nothing would be the same without the Blueprint CSS framework.
